Hey everyone, our names are Scott Payne and J.T. Putt. We are former college teammates. Baseball has been our life since before we can remember, the intricacies of this beautifully designed game drew us in and we have been immersed in it ever since. This site is all about sharing what we have learned and doing all we can to help those who want their kids to be taught the correct way.
Scott grew up in Cheyenne, Wyoming and attended East High School where he was a two sport athlete in football and baseball. He helped lead his high school team to 4 consecutive state championships, while collecting all-state honors twice and captaining both the football and baseball teams. He then went to Mesa Community College in Arizona where he set the single season record for fielding percentage by a second baseman and was also an Academic All-American. He then signed with Regis University and finished out his playing career. Earning a degree in Health and Exercise Science. Scott’s coaching career started in Cheyenne for Post 6 and was an assistant coach for 3 state championship teams.
J.T. grew up in Evergreen, Colorado and attended Mullen High School where he was an outstanding student, active community member, and All-State baseball player. He went on to play at Central Arizona College where he helped lead his team to a District II Championship. He then signed at UNLV where he played for a year before transferring to play closer to home at Regis University. In his time at Regis, J.T. was voted team captain while also receiving NCBWA All-American, and Academic All-American honors. He graduated Summa Cum Laude and was distinguished as the most outstanding student in business administrative sciences. After college, J.T. played professionally in the United States, Australia, and Europe
Our motivation behind creating this website and our academy is purely to get players that may not be the “blue chip” prospects the information that they need to get better. Neither JT or I were blessed with superior natural athletic ability, but through proper coaching and hard work we were able to get our college paid for and even play a little professional baseball. Your kid or player can do it as well and the info that is in this website can be your roadmap.
